On behalf of Paragould Light Water and Cable, our Board of Commissioners and staff, welcome to our website. We hope that you will visit it often for up-to-date information on the full-range of services provided by the utility. We are committed to the fundamental principle that the customer is not only important, but the reason for our business. PLWC has played a vital role in the growth and expansion of the City of Paragould throughout our 66 years of service, and our commitment to quality customer service remains steadfast.

In today’s world, technology is moving at lightning speeds! By taking advantage of new technologies we have enhanced and provided efficient, prompt and reliable services in electric, water, sewer, cable television and Internet, to our customers. Our team of professionals constantly explores up-to-the-minute and innovative ideas using the latest in technology in our effort to be the ultimate provider of utility services to Paragould.

Paragould Light Water and Cable serves over 12,000 electric and water customers and over 10,000 cable customers. PLWC also serves over 5,000 Internet customers, a number that is continuously increasing.

Our new reciprocating generation plant, along with our existing turbine plant are capable of producing 35 megawatts of power. Our electric system is recognized locally, statewide and nationally for stable rates and reliable service. Our water department boasts of a state-of-the-art 6-million gallon per day water filtration treatment plant. Our laboratory at our wastewater treatment plant is one of only a handful in the state certified by the Arkansas Department of Health to perform microbiological analyses of drinking water. Our wastewater treatment plant is presently undergoing a $10 million dollar modification.

Our cable television division and our cable studio, provide our customers with quality entertainment in the comfort of their home at very reasonable rates. We are the Internet Point-of-Presence in the City of Paragould. Our Internet department provides three different levels of Internet access that enables the customers to choose the one that is best for them.

Our modern complex is located on 40 acres, one-fourth mile off Highway 49 South and the crossroad of Highway 358 East, approximately three miles South of Paragould, Arkansas.
